Evening primrose oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, which have a particularly positive effect on the skin and coat. The body cannot produce these fatty acids itself, so they must be ingested via the food.

The special thing about evening primrose oil is the rare gamma-linolenic acid. This is the only representative of the omega-6 series with anti-inflammatory properties comparable to those of omega-3 fatty acids in general. Another special feature of gamma-linolenic acid is the fact that cats can synthesize the essential arachidonic acid from it, which is otherwise only found in animal fats. The high content of linoleic acid also contributes to a beautiful shiny coat.

Our evening primrose oil is obtained from selected evening primrose seeds(Oenothera biennis) in organic quality. The dried and cleaned seeds are cold-pressed so that no valuable ingredients are lost.
