napfcheck COMFORT - Supplementary food in powder form with a high tryptophan content made from natural whey protein for cats to support them in stressful situations
napfcheck COMFORT contains natural whey proteins, valuable B vitamins and tasty brewer's yeast. It provides your cat with essential amino acids, important B vitamins and minerals. Our special whey protein naturally has a particularly high tryptophan content and can therefore be used to help with restlessness, anxiety and stressful situations in general, e.g. in the following cases
- Cats with signs of anxiety or stress
- Cats with a tendency to be restless
- Cats with an excessive tendency to groom
- Cats with a tendency to aggression
We developed napfcheck COMFORT in cooperation with a research group from the Institute of Food Chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden (purapep/Peptrition GmbH, now a spin-off). The special feature is the special process with which the high-quality protein components of the whey are extracted and which is decisive for the very high quality and the particularly high tryptophan content.
Tryptophan occupies a special position among the essential amino acids, as it forms the precursor of the "happiness hormone" serotonin and thus supports its synthesis. Serotonin regulates many behavior-related functions in the body such as food intake, social behavior and mood. Serotonin is also the precursor of the "sleep hormone" melatonin and is therefore also involved in controlling the sleep and wake cycle.
napfcheck COMFORT also contains important B vitamins and organically bound zinc, which have important functions in the metabolism, play a role in the biosynthesis of serotonin and are involved in the function of the nervous system, among other things. Brewer's yeast is a highly palatable ingredient for cats.

Feeding recommendation: napfcheck COMFORT is best given with a snack/snack, after the regular feeding. If this is not possible, napfcheck COMFORT can also be given together with food, simply mixed in or, in the case of dry food, dissolved in a little liquid (e.g. water or a little cat's milk).
The daily dose can either be given as a single dose or divided into two doses, depending on the time of the stress situation. If your pet is only stressed during the day (e.g. because you are not at home or because you are at home), a single dose is recommended, preferably in the morning. If your pet is also in a stressful situation at night (e.g. due to a move to a new environment or a second cat moving in), it is recommended to give it twice at intervals of 8-12 hours.
Recommended daily amount:
- < 4 kg Körpergewicht: ¾ – 1 Messlöffel (= ca. 2,5 – 3 g)
- > 4 kg body weight: 1 - 1½ measuring spoons (= approx. 3.5 - 5 g)

It is advisable to start administering it at least 2 days before the desired calming effect. If a longer-term relaxing and calming effect is desired, napfcheck Comfort should initially be given for 1 - 2 months, or longer if necessary.
Storage instructions: Store in a dry place at room temperature. Use within 3 months after opening.
Note: A food supplement cannot replace behavioral therapy. In the case of permanent complaints, we recommend consulting an experienced behavioral therapist. napfcheck COMFORT can be used as an adjunct.
